SSL error code 4163 (and also 4165) ~Holly Desvelubergakol 6.Jan.03 05:24 AM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0Windows 2000
Hi Dave.
Thanks for the reply.
You were right about me enabling client authentication. I want only clients that are authenticated AND authorized by the ACL to view the database be allowed in. But why would I want to allow anonymous access? Wouldn't that mean every one can access the database?
There's also this other problem that's very strange. With my own internal Domino CA-issued certificates, the SSL works fine as users that have certificates and have entries in the ACL are allowed in. This means that the SSL is successful right? But whenever an SSL connection is initiated, the server concole will show: HTTP Server: SSL handshake failure, IP Address [my IP here], Keyring [keyfile.kyr], [SSL Error: Network IO error], code [4165]. This is showed even if the connection is successful and the authorized user allowed access. The lock icon is also on the browser so how come it still says handshake failure?
Thank you in advance for answering. Your help is very much appreciated as I'm on the verge of pulling all my hair out :)
